Last updated June 9, 2026

Welcome to Sift. By using Sift you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for the accuracy of the information you provide. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use Sift to break the law or infringe the rights of others.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Do not scrape Sift to build competing datasets or to bypass rate limits.
  • Do not submit content you do not have the right to analyze.

Account Usage

Accounts are intended for individual use. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that put the service or other users at risk.

Intellectual Property

Sift, including its name, design, logos, and software, is owned by Sift and protected by applicable laws. Public video metadata and content shown through Sift remain the property of their respective owners. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use Sift for its intended purpose.

Service Availability

We work to keep Sift fast and reliable, but the service is provided on an as-available basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice, and third-party sources we depend on may impact availability.

Content Analysis Disclaimer

Sift produces automated assessments to help you decide whether content is worth your time. Verdicts, ratings, time-saved estimates, and summaries are generated by software and may be incomplete or incorrect. Sift is a guide, not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Always use your own judgment.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sift and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Sift after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
